From Daniel Rinsch

Expertly cited by legendary builder, John Shea, on a half-acre parcel, this home was generations ahead of it's time in 1953. Built on a single floor, with views from every room of the native garden and the Los Liones trail extending into the mountains. The ocean breeze slips through the house, the pool is tucked away from view, and the beach is an easy stroll downhill. Way back when the Pacific Palisades was mostly dirt, the 27 year old Mr. Shea had some big shoes to fill. After all, the family company helped build the Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate bridge. No big deal. Mr. Shea would go on to found Shea Homes, the largest privately held homebuilder in the United States.
