Welcome to ilili, a culinary expression of Lebanon in all her forms - sultry, ancient, tantalizing, and bountiful - located in the heart of The Wharf in Washington, DC.
In colloquial Lebanese Arabic, “ilili” means “tell me.” A casually intimate phrase, “ilili” tempts the listener to share whatever’s in their heart: a joke, a secret, a desire, or just the daily gossip. It is always an invitation. Just as “ilili” encourages the listener, we encourage our guests to come in and join us. Tell us everything.
The design by Nasser Nakib Architect celebrates the vibrancy of Lebanon’s Golden Age era and the modernity of DC’s ever-evolving food scene. Interpreting “ilili” to the letter, design reflects the spirit of sharing—one that the Massoud family has cultivated for generations.
