1964 home built by Neutra-apprentice Paul Sterling Hoag is slowly getting renovated back to its original mid century glory. The first phase of renovation was renovating the dilapidated pool area. The pool was kept to its original shape. The filled in conversation pit was returned and made bigger to accommodate more people for entertainment with built in firepit. Pool tile was designed by the owner to create a brutalist style pattern reminiscent of 1960 era abstract mosaics. Giant Baja Cresta boulders were added to give a flavor of Japanese zen.
