The team was commissioned to expand and remodel a house located in Lomas de Chapultepec for a filmmaker and his family.

The primary request was for a complete transformation of the atmosphere and environment, emphasizing the creation of a new space for family coexistence and visitor reception.

An independent structure was created using a light steel frame covered in walnut wood on both the floor and ceiling. This structure was surrounded by niches and shelves to house books and objects that reflect the owners' artistic tastes. This design rhythm was extended to the windows, framing the beautiful tree-lined view.

The interior of this new volume consists of two rooms: an informal TV room for daily family use and a sunken room with a view of the trees and a large niche. A screen lowers in this niche to project movies and sporting events, as well as to present the owners' film projects to guests. A work table and bar were also integrated into the design.

The upper floor, which houses the entire public area, was finished with a black granite floor, the same material used in a smaller format for the patio.

The kitchen was extended and completely renovated to integrate it with the patio. A retro green finish was chosen for the fronts, providing a striking contrast with the granite and walnut wood.
