Rhode Island's Great System of Bike Paths

Rhode Island bike paths are still open. RIDOT urges you to use them wisely for your safety and the safety of others.

  • If you are ill, please do not use the bike paths and stay home.
  • Bring a face covering. Wear it if you cannot keep a six-foot distance from other people.
  • Keep a safe distance between bikers – six feet is the minimum but please spread out along the bike paths
  • While exercising in a mask, moderate your expectations. You may need to go a little slower while you get used to the mask. Stop or take a break more often.
  • Go into restrooms one by one, and keep your mask on.

When you finish your ride – don't hang around in clumps. Be grateful for the fresh air and head home in small groups.
