SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group announced on Friday that it launched a "hypersonic ballistic missile" targeting Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, claiming it had hit its target.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a televised statement on Houthi-run al-Masirah TV that the strike caused casualties and disrupted air traffic at the airport. (Yemen-Israel-Attacks)

AMMAN -- World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus departed Yemen on Friday after an Israeli airstrike on Sanaa's international airport left him stranded and injured a UN staff member.

"We are now in Jordan, where he will receive further medical treatment," Tedros wrote in a social media post, referring to the injured staffer who was evacuated following the attack. The airstrike occurred on Thursday, just as Tedros and other UN officials were preparing to depart Yemen. (Jordan-Yemen-UN Staff)

JERUSALEM -- The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that its air force on Friday struck "infrastructure" at the Janta crossing on the Syrian-Lebanese border, which it claimed was used to smuggle weapons via Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

"Hezbollah exploits civilian infrastructure for terrorist activities and for smuggling weapons designated for its terror attacks against Israeli citizens," the statement read. (Israel-Lebanon-Airstrike)

ADEN, Yemen -- Saudi Arabia has allocated 500 million U.S. dollars to the Yemeni government to cover state employees' salaries and other expenses, Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak said on Friday.
