A costume exhibition currently being held at the China National Silk Museum in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province is offering a glimpse into the diverse clothing styles of Asian countries and regions, while exploring the exchange and integration of different clothing cultures across the continent.
Titled "Colorful Asia: Asian Costumes Exhibition," the show introduces the traditional clothing art of Asia from the 18th to the 20th century. A collection of 140 pieces and sets of garments from 27 countries and regions in East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia and West Asia are on display.
Visitors can learn about the exquisite and diverse range of clothing styles and their fusion through the distinctive costumes on show from different parts of Asia, and experience traditional dyeing, weaving and embroidery crafts.
The exhibition runs until November 12.
