That would make an utterly stunning tattoo. (It’s kind of irrelevant, but that was my first thought.)

What do you think of ferrofluid?
I think it provides fodder for an emmense amount of ideas…
I guess I can’t email you ideas, but would love to.
There are some beautiful alluvial map drawings of the Mississippi river on the Army Corps of Engineers website. One can download the entire collection for free. There is a link to them through Pruned.
Anon – I love ferrofluid. Love the photos, at least. Would like a whole ocean of the stuff, and a large hovering magnet-city…
And rynTAU, those maps are incredible – I’ve posted about them before, linking to Pruned: here. But thanks!
That map turned me on like I was viewing a gorgeous naked human body artfully photographed – seriously and surprisingly sensual!
sadly, the maps pruned linked to (as well as the source of the images you posted) appear to no longer be available online. snif.
The files that pruned linked to can be found from the site’s root page (http://lmvmapping.erdc.usace.army.mil/)
