A 'Metro Area' is defined as counties that are assigned by the government’s Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA). As defined by the government each metro area includes a large center and surrounding counties that have a social and/or economic attachment.

Using the look up tools at Best Places, you can find all of the smaller places belonging to a larger place. Whether it is finding all of the Counties in a Metro Area, or all of the Zip Codes in a City.
