While this game is mostly designed for young, Japanese children to learn basic Japanese and English, the overall gameplay, even though it is very simplistic, is also a lot of fun. By looking up some quick guides online it was simple enough to navigate the menus in Japanese. The difficulty does ramp up quite a bit in the later levels and you will need to know which english keys correspond to which japanese symbols. You can customize your character, earn medals, catch Pokemon, etc. Other than the game itself some noteworthy features are the Wireless Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard included with the game, and the stand. Now the keyboard is around the same size as what you might already be used to in things like laptops or desktops. Perhaps a little bit more compact but even for someone with big hands I have not found issues. A quick tip to anyone who will purchase this game; in order to turn on the wireless keyboard you need to hold the FN or function key and then turn the device on while following the on screen prompts. The keyboard has, in my experience, no problems whatsoever with lag. Being that this device is compatible with anything that supports Bluetooth but is also region-free, will work on any US device that supports it as well as a Japanese device. Also included is a stand, similar to the stand included with Kid Icarus: Uprising. It actually works fine and can hold what I am currently playing the game on, which is the 3DSXL Special Pikachu Edition. The game, if bought new does come with Japanese Club Nintendo points, however if you are importing this you can not use the points. Even if you were able to create a Japanese Club Nintendo account, they will not ship rewards internationally. You also get a ton of manuals, guides, advertisements, and other little booklets, mostly in Japanese. The only difference between this version and the white keyboard version is purely the color of the stand only. This item does ship out fairly quickly. Keep in mind there may be some restrictions, limitations, etc. on your shipping internationally which could make things take longer or Japanese postal holidays.
I bought this as a test unrelated to the game itself, but I really like both the keyboard and the game. It arrived quickly, sealed new. I was super impressed by it. The only issue was I ordered the black one, but received the white one. Not an issue for me, I really like the white keyboard.
