The WWE title holder is dealing with a knee problem.

Following last week's SmackDown, WWE Women's Tag Team Champion Asuka is said to be hurt.

For those who watched the most recent edition of Smackers, the Empress of Tomorrow could be seen limping after dropping from the ring apron to the outside of the ring. While she continued to be part of Damage CTRL's attack on Bayley and later Naomi, Asuka was clearly in some discomfort throughout all of this.

Via PWInsider, Asuka did indeed do something to her knee on SmackDown. As such, she was pulled from this past weekend's live events out of caution and so that medical tests could be done to determine whether this is something the five-time WWE Women's Champion will be able to work through or whether it's something more serious.

As mentioned, Asuka is currently one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions with Kairi Sane. WWE could always pull the classic Freebird Rule if needed, and have Asuka's stablemate Dakota Kai defend those titles with Kairi while the former Kana heals up. Of course, hopefully this issue isn't too serious for Asuka, particularly with WrestleMania XL on the horizon.
