Bio
Karen Bertelsen is a Gemini-nominated, 14-year veteran of Canadian television. Known for her irreverent attitude towards formulaic TV speak, Karen will tell you what is true. If you are thinking it, Karen will say it.
Karen began her television career at TV Hamilton Cable 14 where she hosted, produced and edited her own shows. After 4 years in local cable she was hired by Toronto's CFMT. It was during this time Karen developed an immense fan base, due in large part to her no holds barred commentary during the wildly popular Jerry Springer Show. In 2000 Karen was hired as host of the entertainment news program The Loop on MuchMoreMusic. She interviewed countless musicians and celebrities including Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise.
In between her hosting jobs, Karen refurbishes her 160-year-old home and runs a small antique business.
