
Jesús Marrero Suárez is a post-graduate investigative reporting fellow at the Justice Media Computational Journalism Co-Lab. At WBUR, he works closely with the Investigations team, using data-driven reporting to hold institutions to account.
Previously, he's written about the legacy of segregationist housing practices, accessibility improvements to T stations, silly street flyers, labor unions, car crashes, the impact of rising temperatures on communities of color and bears.
He spent a year writing breaking news at The Boston Globe and oversaw the delivery of two investigative pieces as a project manager for Justice Media. Before that, he served as campus editor at The Daily Free Press, Boston University's independent student newspaper.
Raised in Puerto Rico, Jesús is a native Spanish speaker, the son of Venezuelan immigrants and spends most of his free time on his phone.
