Welcome Robert J. Jones, the next UW president

On Feb. 3, 2025, the University of Washington Board of Regents announced that Robert J. Jones was selected as the 34th president of the UW. Jones is currently the chancellor of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and will begin his UW presidency Aug. 1.
