The Pacific platform for West Coast design, the Interior Design Show (IDS) Vancouver returns to downtown Vancouver this September. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, including Omar Gandhi, Kate Snyder, and Craig Stanghetta, who are part of the impressive keynote speaker lineup. They can also explore feature design spaces like the Future Neighbourhood and Perpetua Bar while discovering cutting-edge design at Studio North and Prototype.
Celebrate West Coast design at the Opening Night Party on Thursday, September 26 starting at 7pm. Mix and mingle with the industry’s most influential decision-makers, shop the show floor, and explore all features before anyone else while enjoying live DJ sets from GirlOnWax.
A notable new feature this year will be the Perpetua Bar by STARK. The structure uses recycled materials to create an immersive space for gathering. Open on all sides and accessed from any angle, it seeks to bring people together, blurring the line between openness and enclosure.
Wander through the immersive Future Neighbourhood to explore how interior design will continue to adapt and shape the way humans live. Designs include Don’t Forget Me, designed by AD Projects x WAO; Petitit Architect, designed by Petit Architect; Micro-Hood, designed by SvN; and Addapt, designed by Leckie Studio. Attendees will experience dialogues exploring AI, youthful inspiration, low-carbon communities, and our evolving needs in housing.
Explore Studio North, presented by Rize Properties, and meet with emerging, talented, independent product designers as they exhibit their custom and one-off creations (including furniture and lighting, glass and ceramics, textiles and decor objects) within a gallery-like setting.
Within Studio North is Prototype, an exhibition of the latest imaginative and innovative products. Attendees are invited to become inspired by the featured products that are not currently in production.
