How to Trade In your device with Jade

Hi, I’m Jade. Trading in a device at Apple is a great way to save on a new one. It's easy to do online, and it’s good for the planet. Here’s how it works.

After you’ve selected your new product, choose the Trade In option and tell us about your device.

You’ll answer a few questions to get an estimate of its Trade In value, which you can use toward your new purchase.

If you choose to finance, this estimated value will be applied to your monthly bill. Or, if you pay in full, it’ll be credited to your payment method.

Once your purchase is complete, you’ll get an email with tips on how to back up and transfer your data to your new device, along with instructions for sending back your Trade In.

We’ll keep you updated on your Trade In status and confirm its final value. And that’s it!

1. Trade-in values will vary based on the condition, year, and configuration of your eligible trade-in device. Not all devices are eligible for credit. You must be at least the age of majority to be eligible to trade in for credit or for an Apple Gift Card. Trade-in value may be applied toward qualifying new device purchase, or added to an Apple Gift Card. Actual value awarded is based on receipt of a qualifying device matching the description provided when estimate was made. Sales tax may be assessed on full value of a new device purchase.
