Match Group is the parent company of market leader online dating app Tinder. In June 2021, Match Group closed the acquisition of the South Korean company Hyperconnect, which was bought for 1.7 billion U.S. dollars. Hyperconnect operates in the fields of instant video chat platforms and AI-powered features. In the past, Match Group mainly worked to expand its online dating services porfolio by acquiring online dating companies OkCupid, indie brand PlentyOfFish, and leading Japanese online dating parent company Eureka. As of November 2022, the Match Group has acquired eight organizations.
