The provenance of Cascina Spinasse dates to 2008 when it opened as a tiny, rustic Italian trattoria with communal seating, a hyper-focus on handmade pasta and the traditional cuisine of the Piedmont region of Northern Italy.  In the following years, Spinasse continued to garner critical acclaim and a loyal following as one of the city’s top Italian restaurants.

Since 2015, Chef Stuart Lane has carried that legacy forward creating simple, soulful dishes grounded in the authentic techniques from Piedmont, while incorporating the products of artisans and small farmers from the Pacific Northwest.

When you join the Spinasse x Artusi Wine Club, you’ll unlock a new way to share in the best of two of your favorite Seattle wine programs. Each month, Wine Director Noa Emas & team will curate a rotating selection of 2 or 4 bottles of wine, along with tasting notes, background info, & more members-only perks. Join us as we journey through the wines of Italy with an emphasis on Piedmont and the occasional outside wine. The Spinasse and Artusi Wine programs are all about wines from passionate winemakers who view themselves as stewards of the land and believe winemaking is a type of art that represents not just where it was grown, but the people and community who make it.
