This portal is designed to help customers request quotes from multiple suppliers, select a supplier for each project, record data for later use, communicate via a message board specific to your project, and retrieve historical information on your projects. A U-M ID and a Kerberos password are needed to get started.

Additional Information

Boxcar Studio was founded in 2005 by its present owners, Lani Chisnell and T.J. Smith. Lani and T.J. both come from a non-profit background and have shaped the company to focus on their passion for non-profits and educational institutions. Since 2005, Boxcar has served over 200 clients ranging from large corporations to major cultural institutions right here in Michigan and beyond including the State of California, the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, the Church of Christian Science, WETA, Washtenaw Community College, Lake Michigan College, Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley, and the YMCAs of Flint and Ann Arbor.

A small, nimble team, Boxcar seeks to develop relationships with our clients. We want to be a partner. To that end, clients work directly with the individuals working on their project. The owners function as project managers while also participating in specific deliverables of the project, with Lani leading design and T.J. leading production. The rest of the team works together, primarily on development, to build out the sites, program features, functionality and integration and supply training.
