About Setaria digitata
Setaria digitata is a filarial nematode found in the peritoneal cavity of ungulates. Whilst generally nonpathogenic in this environment, the worms can migrate to the nervous system or the eyes, where they cause cerebrospinal nematodiasis. S. digitata is found in Asia, where it is vectored by various species of mosquito. Due to its similarity to Wuchereria bancrofti, it has been used as a model for lymphatic filariasis.

The assembly was retrieved from INSDC. It was generated with short-read Illumina technology by Rashanthy Nadarajah et al., (2021) at the University of Colombo
Annotation
Gene prediction was done using MAKER software FASTA algorithm, as described by Rashanthy Nadarajah et al, 2021. The annotation was sumbitted directly to WormBase ParaSite by the authors.
