As part of The Venice Glass Week, Il Palazzo Experimental will present Fluid Matter, an exhibition curated by the Mollified Collective and Dario Dalla Lana, from September 16 to November 30, 2024.

Fluid Matter explores contemporary artistic practices through the unique medium of glass, offering a platform for diverse artistic approaches. The exhibition features artists with varying relationships to glass, from those who work with it exclusively to those who use it occasionally. Notable participants include Davide Barbini, Ruth Beraha, Letizia Calori, and Dario Dalla Lana, each bringing their distinct perspective to the material.

Curated by Cosima Montavoci and Lorenzo Passi of the Mollified Collective, the show seeks to spark dialogue and creativity by juxtaposing different artistic methodologies.

Hosted at Il Palazzo Experimental, a historic venue with Venetian-inspired interiors, Fluid Matter promises a compelling exploration of glass as a medium for artistic expression.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

- Gallerie dell’Accademia - For lovers of the works of important artists from the fourteenth century to the Renaissance including Tintoretto, Titian, Tiepolo, and Longhi.

- Peggy Guggenheim Collection - Located within the fascinating, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, it allows us to admire a wide review of works by Picasso, Dali, Modigliani, Carrà, and other futurist artists of our own.

The Teatro la Fenice is one of the most famous opera houses in the world as well as the most famous in Venice. It opened back in 1792 and was destroyed twice in a row due to severe fires.

There were staged the absolute premieres of works artists including Giuseppe Verdi, Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti.

- Murano - probably the most famous one, thanks to its glass blowing factories;

- Burano - joyful and colerful island. Old ladies work patientily on the lace production.

- Torcello - first human settlement in the Venice area and is home, among other things, to two important Byzantine basilicas.

“Bacarata” is a way of saying for Venetians, which means,almost always, being with friends, getting lost in the chatter, and above all,accompanying the good glass of wine or a Spritz with something delicious to eat:the so-called "cicchetti".
