Entrepreneur Tom Geniesse has geared his wine shop toward consumers with one of two questions to consider: What am I eating tonight and who am I buying this for? With these thoughts in mind, he's organized his 365 wines by their compatibility with takeout Chinese, Mexican, etc. (local menus included); by the type of entr�e be it fish, chicken, or meat; and by the nature of the gift-giving. There's also a wall that sorts the same bottles by country.�Plus, whichever process you favor, each bottle is accompanied by detailed tasting notes and ratings that can be supplemented by books in the reading area for sale or on-site research. — Alexandra Vallis
