Bennett signs new Saints contract

Injury-hit St Helens second rower Mike Bennett has signed a new two-year deal with the Challenge Cup winners.

He has only made four appearances this season because of two shoulder injuries but is set to return in Friday's Super League match against Wakefield.

"I am very pleased to be staying with Saints," said the 26-year-old, who joined the club 11 years ago.

"I have been unlucky with injuries this year and would like to thank the club for their support and patience."
