PEMSâ„¢ - Power and Energy Management System

ABB’s Power and Energy Management System (PEMS™) is the core of a vessel’s combined power and control system. It ensures optimal use of the vessel’s total power resources in a safe, energy efficient and environmentally-friendly manner.
RCS - Remote Control System

Provide optimum control for the ABB Azipod® with RCS, providing operator guidance. Intelligent Maneuvering Interface gives water flow indication, and actual and reference angle for the Azipod®

PCS - Propulsion Control System

PCS provides full supervision and oversight over ABB electric propulsion systems - adjusted for each vessel type.

Seamless communication with other onboard ABB systems ensures a common alarm and time domain with a faster control response.

EPPS - The Enhanced Power plant Protection System

Protects against fault situations that could lead to cascade faults and result in blackout. Enhanced Power plant Protection System (EPPS), formerly named DGMS (Diesel Generator Monitoring System) provides enhanced protection for AC power plants operating with a closed bus. EPPS functionality has been extended to include monitoring of energy storage in addition to generator sets.
