Susan Mac Cormac Highlighted as a Green Ambassador by the Legal 500 United States Green Guide 2024
Morrison Foerster’s Susan (“Suz”) Mac Cormac, co-chair of the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Social Enterprise + Impact Investing practices, was highlighted individually by Legal 500’s inaugural Green Ambassador research.
Defined by “championing sustainability in major regions across the world,” the Legal 500 Green Ambassadors are United States lawyers who “advocate for sustainability, shape ESG practices, influence internal operations, and lead industry dialogues as thought leaders and change-makers.”
For the past 25 years, Suz has combined her desire to address climate change and inequality with her profession as a lawyer to come up with ways to benefit the public through mainstream corporate and capital markets solutions. Suz combines an elite corporate and finance practice with a commitment to furthering the cause of environmental and social responsibility in the profit-driven world of business. She advises a myriad of clients on how to form public charities, foundations, and social welfare programs. Her “game-changing, law-shaping, market-moving work” (The Recorder) spans a unique range of complex matters, from advising on 10-figure, late-stage technology investments and high-profile transactions in the clean technology and renewable energy sectors to developing novel nonprofit/for-profit “hybrid” corporate structures and providing corporate governance advice in relation to sustainability.
