Vorondil, also known as Vorondil the Hunter, was the Steward to the King Eärnil II of Gondor.
Biography[]
Born in TA 1919, Vorondil was the son of the Steward Pelendur.[1] Following the death of his father, Pelendur in TA 1998 Vorondil succeeded him and became the Steward to King Eärnil II. Vorondil served as the Steward to King Eärnil II until his death in TA 2029 at the age of 110 years old.
Vorondil was succeeded by his son Mardil Voronwë who later became the first of the Ruling Stewards.
Vorondil was called the hunter because of his prowess hunting. He hunted the Kine of Araw, and from its horn was fashioned the Horn of Gondor.[2]
