Lego is the world's biggest toy company, making partnerships with many franchises around the world. One of the greatest franchises Lego has partnered with is Lord of the Rings.
The LoTR Lego sets captured the essence of the books and film, while creating it in a format any kid could enjoy. From the wonderful Lego characterizations of each LoTR role, to the close attention to detail captured in each set, Lego LoTR is a masterpiece. It even does the films justice in terms of quality, especially the older sets.
Not only that, but Lego LoTR also had several adaptions into animation and videogames, combining the storytelling of books with the humor of Lego. Lego also made this experience interactive, which multiplied the fun.
Lego has introduced countless children to the franchise, and likely even brought many along to reading the series and watching the films. I believe LoTR has been further popularized due to getting Lego adaptions, making Lego one of the most important contributors to the series.
Similarly, even though Batman has comics and cinematic movies, Lego Batman brings his own special contributions to the series. In fact, Lego Batman is so popular an image of him even appeared in the Ninjago movie.
LoTR should be adapted into a Lego show to expand its reach to a younger audience once again. A show like this may even appeal to adults and could potentially become one of the most successful Lego shows.
Lego is a giant contributor to LoTR, and it should be seen and acknowledged as such among the fans.
