Kip Rasmussen is an American fantasy illustrator devoted mainly to subjects from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion, but also depicting The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Some of his illustrations are featured in HarperCollins' Tolkien Calendar 2023 and in Beyond Bree's 2025 Calendar. He is one of few illustrators whose Middle-earth art is directly available[1] on smartphone cases.
Among his art influences are Jan Vermeer, Caravaggio, Frank Frazetta, Franklin Booth, and Tolkien illustrators Ted Nasmith, Alan Lee, and John Howe.[2]
