5 Documentation work

There are currently 11 manuals for LilyPond, not counting the translations. Each of them is available in split HTML (many small files), big HTML (a single file), PDF, and Info format. The documentation is written in a markup language called Texinfo – this allows us to generate different output formats from a single set of source files.

To allow multiple authors work simultaneously, we also use git (as previously discussed, see Working with source code) for the documentation.
