Real Simple magazine has a thirst-inducing roundup of recipes that take fresh lemonade one step beyond its (admittedly elegant) simplicity, adding fresh flavors and making them great accompaniments to grilled dinners and outdoor parties. None of them are very complicated—peeling and grating fresh ginger is the toughest step among them—and every one is guaranteed to taste scads better than the powdered stuff. For the purists, however, the magazine also provides a pretty classic recipe—just sugar, lemons, water, and a lazy afternoon. Photo by i am jae.
