I'm trying to clarify Okuni's job titles. The way I understood it, she basically runs the Records Office, and is the Special Adviser to the Investigations Office (and if nothing else, she has influence and an informant there). Someone else listed her as the Council of Twelve's Special Adviser to the Records Office (which would still explain why she runs the office). - Dap00 02:02, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, this is odd. In Chapter 245, page 6, Yumeji refers to Okuni as "Special Adviser of the Records Office." But in Chapter 247, page 3, Nichinaga calls her "the Investigation Office's Special Adviser" in front of Suigetsu, who formerly worked in the Records Office and was an acquaintance of Okuni. So I guess I'm not the only one who gets those offices mixed up? I don't think it's ever fully stated anywhere, but it's implied numerous times that Okuni outright controls the Records Office. Judging by the example of the other offices, that would make her the chief, but the fact that it's never stated that way is odd. But I really don't think the Special Adviser title is actually connected to the Council of Twelve seat, in the same way that Masamori was Chief of the Night Troop before he got his seat. At least, I've never seen the two titles connected anywhere, which makes me think they aren't. - Dap00 03:13, May 6, 2011 (UTC)
