Demon Taming appears to be both an inherited primary skill, as well as a secondary one that can be naturally developed. Clans such as the Kidoin are well-known for producing talented demon tamers (鬼使い), while Tokimori Hazama had the ability to subdue demons through sheer will alone since he was a child. Demon tamers themselves are also quite varied: there are those that specialize in controlling a single demon or type of demon, and those that can control entire armies of demons.
