The Tesla Model 3 isn't quite as inspiring as the Model E – for obvious reasons – but that's what Elon is naming Tesla's entry-level sedan. Oh, and Tesla Roadster owners are getting a battery upgrade, too.

In an interview with AutoExpress, Musk re-confirmed everything we already knew about its third-gen sedan, including a range of at least 200 miles, a price tag of around $35,000, and use of its ever-expanding Supercharger network. And Tesla confirmed the Model 3 name.

Musk also revealed plans to upgrade the Roadster with a new battery pack.

"The Roadster had an old generation battery," Musk told AE. "We'll upgrade it to a new generation battery pack and it should have a range of about 400 miles, which will allow you to drive from LA to San Francisco non-stop."
