IEEE Annual Election Timeline

15 August 2024: Balloting for the IEEE Annual Election began on 15 August 2024. Eligible voting members on record as of 30 June may access their ballot electronically. Print ballot packages will be provided to voters in accordance with their election communication preferences as of 30 June.

1 October 2024: Balloting for the IEEE Annual Election ended on 1 October 2024 at 12:00 noon ET (16:00 UTC).

7 October 2024: The 2024 IEEE Annual Election unofficial results will be announced on 7 October 2024.

Balloting for the 2024 IEEE Annual Election is now underway and will end on 1 October 2024 at 12:00 noon ET (16:00 UTC). Ballots were created for eligible voting members holding graduate student member grades or higher as of 30 June. Post Two:

Balloting for the 2024 IEEE Annual Election is now underway and will end on 1 October 2024 at 12:00 noon ET (16:00 UTC). We hope you will take the time to vote and help choose the future leadership of IEEE.

This year’s ballot includes IEEE President-Elect candidates who are nominated by IEEE Board of Directors, as well as nominees for Delegate-Elect/Director-Elect for IEEE Divisions I, III, V, VII, IX, and for IEEE Regions 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. The ballot also includes candidates for IEEE Technical Activities Vice President-Elect, IEEE-USA President-Elect, and IEEE Standards Association Board of Governors Members-at-Large.

Last day for individuals to submit their intention to petition for IEEE President-Elect position by 12:00 noon ET/17:00 UTC-05.

15 March 2025

Deadline for OUs to submit their slate of candidates.

31 March 2025

Ballots will be created for eligible voting members on record.

11 April 2025

Last day for receipt of petition signatures for IEEE President-Elect position by 12:00 noon ET/16:00 UTC-04.

15 April 2025

Last day for individuals to submit their intention to petition for all other office positions.

IEEE Board of Directors announces the slate of candidates for the offices up for election.
