Sometimes you have a set that needs to be iterated in order. However doing something like this can be taxing on resources:
// Not in order!
for (const value of set) { /* ... */ }
// Can be slow for large sets!
for (const value of [...set].sort()) { /* ... */ }This module provides an API that implements the builtin javascript Set, but
can be iterated in order for much less overhead than sorting an array.
const set = new SortedSet((a, b) => a - b)
set.add(3) // { 3 }
set.add(1) // { 1, 3 }
set.add(5) // { 1, 3, 5 }
set.add(2) // { 1, 2, 3, 5 }
set.add(2) // { 1, 2, 3, 5 }
console.log([...set]) // [1, 2, 3, 5]
// There are extra methods too!
console.log(set.get(1)) // 2; The value that would be at index 1.
