Over and Out

Over the past year or so I have lost my passion for anything crafty. I closed Twocan Stitch and have recently sold all of my hair accessory supplies, jewellery making and scrapbooking supplies.  I have kept a few things to make quick cards but other than that, I'm done.
Thank you for following me over the years. I will keep this blog published as I like to look back through my blog every now and then.

Signing out....

Lots of Layouts, fast!

I worked out that I have 47 events to scrapbook to catch up. I visited Lissa today and looked through her Project Life albums and they inspired me to use the sectioned sleeves to catch up fast.
Here is the first one.  Ashlee's 13th birthday party. I just have to buy a pen so I can do the journaling.

Washi Tape Cards

am teaching a kids card class on Friday with kids aged between 4 and 16.  I thought Washi Tape would be a good product to use as its easy to use for the younger kids and still fun and funky for the older kids.  They will get to use the Cuttlebug too which is alway a hit with the kids.
Here are some of my examples...

Christmas Time

I'm on holidays at the moment in not so sunny Victoria. I found a great scrapbooking shop in Drouin called Scrap 2 Relax. I wasn't planning on buying anything, just looking... that plan didn't go so well and I bought some supplies to make Christmas cards.
I had my first go at using Washi Tape. I absolutely love it. So simple, cheap and easy to use. I made 11 cards and these 3 are the general idea of what they look like.
Happy Christmas everyone :D

A Digital Layout

I had the urge to do a digital layout.  For this layout I used a freebie kit HERE from Sweet Shoppe Designs and also a digital layered template you can find HERE.

This is my gorgeous sister on her 40th.

I Scrapped!!!

I haven't scrapbooked for 7 months and had a massive urge to so I went down to Scrappy Sisters and bought some new products. While I was in Perth I taught homeschool kids craft and had dwindled my stash down so was in need for some fresh products.
I was able to complete 3 layouts and hope to get more done Tuesday with my friends.

Christmas Crafting

Each year I say I will make presents but don’t often get around to it.  This year with our budget lower than usual I was determined.

I made calendars for each of the families on both our sides.  I bought a calendar template from Sweet Shoppe HERE and just had to add my photos in Photoshop.  I then printed them at home onto A4 photo paper and then had them spiral bound at Office Works.  I’m so happy with how they turned out.

Here is the calendar for my side of the family.

And then I made 4 Cookie Dough Jars up for 3 of my Perth friends and our lovely neighbour Angie.  I followed Bakerella’s instructions HERE.  I LOVE these.  I really hope they taste as good as they look in their jars though.

I also made my niece a photo tin about her cousins so she can be familiar with their faces and names as se lives away from them.  I taught this as a class with a groups of home schoolers too.  There are photos on both sides…

This year for my Christmas cards, I only gave to our direct families and I bought my friend Nicky’s handmade cards and didn’t make my own.  They are gorgeous :)

I hope you all have a blessed Christmas as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Kids Craft Workshops

Since we have moved to Perth and been homeschooling I have seen the need to help other homeschooling mums in teaching craft to their children.  Sometimes it’s hard to meet all of the learning area requirements, so I have decided to start a little business teaching craft activities to homeschoolers.

You can visit my website and check out what I’m teaching.  I’m still uploading classes but have a few ideas up of my past classes.

Here is a class I made today.  It is not my own idea but borrowed from a friend :)  It was heaps of fun to make.  Now I just need to work on a boy version.

A Scrap Camp

I was blessed with a weekend away with my new friend Nicky to her Kazzazz Scrap Camp in Baldivis.  I was able to get a few layouts completed as well as some unfinished projects finished at last.  All day Saturday I made Twocan Stitch orders and made some pocket money :) I had a very tiring but awesome weekend with a great group of ladies.
