This machine was formerly called FTP.ARL.MIL, but was officially renamed to FTP.ARL.ARMY.MIL in June-2000. Before that, this machine was called FTP.BRL.MIL; BRL became ARL.

This Web server was one of the first 50 Web servers on the InterNet, making it a pioneer in its own right. Our first Web services became operational in May of 1993.
