Saxophone and Piano Duo Concert Staged at Beihang

On the evening of November 6, the Aesthetic Education Center hosted a special Saxophone and Piano Duo Concert at the Sunrise Concert Hall of Beihang University, attracting over 700 faculty and students.

Saxophonist Clio Theodoridis and pianist Jonathan Nemtanu presented an exceptional chamber music performance for the audience. Clio Theodoridis, a bronze medalist at the Stockholm International Music Competition, a gold medalist at the Athens X.O.N. National Youth Competition, and an outstanding award winner at the 17th World Saxophone Congress, showcased the diverse charm of the saxophone. Jonathan Nemtanu, a professor at the Conservatoire de musique de Saguenay in Quebec, Canada, has received numerousaccolades in international competitions. His beautiful piano playing perfectly complemented the saxophone, delivering stunning interpretations of “Beau Soir” and other classical pieces.

The seamless collaboration between the two artists was one of the highlights of the concert. This talented couple from France and Greece is renowned for their exquisite skills, beautiful sound, and consistent passion for music. They frequently perform on international stages in countries such as Canada, France, and Greece, earning widespread acclaim.

After the duo concert, Shen Xukun, Director of the Aesthetic Education Center and Dean of the School of New Media Art and Design, along with Song Zehui, Deputy Director of the Aesthetic Education Center, took photos with the artists.
