Brand Identity Guidelines and Resources

In order to help members of the Yale School of the Environment community better plan for individual and departmental communications in a way that reflects both our YSE and wider Yale identities, the Office of Communications has created YSE brand identity guidelines. They include resources and downloads to ensure consistent implementation of our visual identity, including downloadable wordmarks and PowerPoint templates.

Presenting a unified visual identity for the Yale School of the Environment and The Forest School helps us to better articulate our shared vision of advancing knowledge and leadership for a sustainable future while allowing for the adaptability needed to highlight individual (and group) achievements. The Office of Communications has created branded digital materials to help our entire community recognize and celebrate YSE’s 125 years of Leadership, Innovation, and Impact. 
 

YSE 125^th Anniversary Logo Files (ZIP)

Files included are for printing on uncoated paper only (CMYK), digital platforms and screen use (RGB). If any additional color space versions are needed please reach out to Angela Chen-Wolf. These are optional and may be used on any communications or materials on which you deem it appropriate to recognize the anniversary. 
 

Anniversary Branded PowerPoint Templates (ZIP)

Before using the templates (potx files), read the Help File (PDF) and properly install YaleNew fonts to computer (see instructions on page 4 of Help File). These templates are recommended for anniversary themed or related presentations during the year as deemed appropriate. 
 

Anniversary Branded Email Signature Template (ZIP)

For optional use. Download the template and replace the placeholder text with your information within the template file to ensure the styling and formatting remains unchanged. Once all information is entered, highlight the entire signature including the anniversary logo, then copy it. Open your email signature settings, create a new signature, and paste the copied content. Save your changes and send yourself a test email to confirm the formatting looks correct. 
 

Anniversary Branded Zoom Backgrounds (ZIP)

For use during virtual meetings and events as preferred. Instructions on how to customize Zoom backgrounds
 

Tabletop Banners

Anniversary-themed tabletop banners, featuring a QR code linking to the anniversary landing page, are available for event planners to borrow for use at registration or welcome tables. To request a banner, please contact Melanie Quigley at [email protected].
