<p>An alum of the Rhode Island School of Design and a former apprentice of Anna Sui and Threeasfour, New York-based designer Katie Gallagher debuted her eponymous line of edgy, sculptural looks in 2009. By that time, she had already reportedly gotten the attention of envelope-pushing style icons Daphne Guinness and Lady Gaga with one of her school projects, a dress made from Plexiglas springs. Goth, body-con, and futuristic, Gallagher&#146;s moodily romantic designs are generally anchored in a black and white palette.</p>
