Smoke Me A Kipper

Hello! As that Nirvana song goes “all apologies”. It doesn’t look like I’ll have time to post my Pixel C review before my operation now. I’m actually sat here in the Christie hospital in Manchester writing this and the ward has wifi. How cool is that? I’ve already written over 2000 words of the follow up to my last post, the server story. I hope to post it tonight perhaps before my operation tomorrow but who knows whether that will happen. I’ll do my best. In the last 2 or 3 weeks I thought I’d have more time but there’s just been so much stuff to sort out.

So tomorrow I will be in surgery most of the day from the early morning. Hopefully I’ll be out by around 6pm but I will be transferred to intensive care for monitoring. That may last a couple of days but as soon as possible I’ll transfer back to the regular ward and begin getting myself better. I’ll post a quick update to say I’m OK via this blog, Twitter and FB as soon as I can, porbably next week.

A big thanks to everyone who’s sent messages and good wishes over recent months. I appreciate them all. I am totally ready for this operation now, I’m in the best place in the country and I’m very confident about the ability of the doctors. It may take a few days before I can properly communicate again but in the immortal words of Ace Rimmer

“Smoke me a kipper I’ll be back for breakfast” 🙂

See you soon,

good luck for tomorrow! Hope to hear from you soon on GNR. 😉
Thanks for all the great hours of commute in the past with LO!

  3. I think I’m probably a bit late to say good luck for the op but here’s hoping you’re now comfortable by the time you read this and on your way to a swift recovery.
