Thanks for stopping by…
This is what I consider my “anchor site” on the Web. Think of it as a portal to (almost) everything I’m doing, online and offline.
I recently retired from my longtime gig at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where I focused on media literacy in the digital age. My current efforts are aimed, as I say in my “What’s next for me…” blog post, are “to help people who are working to save democracy, and by extension freedom of expression, in part by helping journalism perform its most essential role.”
My first effort in that context is a newsletter — “The cornerstone of democracy…” — a collection of links to information that, unlike the vast majority of political journalism, does a good job in explaining what’s at stake in this year’s pivotal elections. It’s free and I hope you’ll subscribe.
