Don’t hardcode colours for special characters

The colours are now taken from the user’s colour scheme.
They are chosen to be similar to the old colours when
using the Breeze colour scheme, i.e., magenta/purple for
entity references (&) and accelerators (&), and green
for whitespace (\n and \t) and other escape characters.
