Hold it right there, mate. |
Butlers is the seventeenth Bluey minisode.
Synopsis[]
It’s orientation day for Barnsley – the newest butler at Bluey and Bingo’s dream house![1]
First, Barnsley meets head butler Monty; who welcomes him to the dream house and has to save his life from a crocodile filled parent trap set up by Bluey and Bingo.
After passing the entry room and the bubble tea dispenser, the pair meet a whole roster of butlers including Jerry Lee (the science butler) who has invented a robot to collect sequins from the floor, and Fred (the sequins butler) who’s job it is to stick the sequins back on!
In the kitchen they meet the busiest butler, Harlow, who is inundated with constant and ridiculous food orders on Bluey and Bingo’s every whim. The final butler to meet is Jenkins who is responsible of cleaning 50 toilets in the dream house (and they all stink).

Episode Recap[]
Welcome to Bluey and Bingo Heeler's Dreamhouse, the awesomely-charged megahouse of epicness with many a surprise and many a room to explore! Our hero, Barnsley, walks up and rings. Barnsley's a budding butler ready to take on the world of butlering. Head butler Monty answers, and Barnsley tells him he's here to take a new job. As Barnsley takes his first steps into the dreamhouse, he almost falls into a crocodile trap! As Monty catches him, he tells him it's a trap set by the kids if any interlopers intrude and (try to) make them go to bed.
Monty takes the budding butler on the Grand Tour of a lifetime!
- First, the entry room, decorated lavishly with a touch of animals singing their masters' praises. When Barnsley inquires about all the blue buttons, Monty reveals it's for the kids' bubble tea dispenser, which they have installed every four metres, at all times. Beats going out to a boba tea shop and getting one manually!
- Second, the science laboratory. Run by the esteemed science butler Jerry Lee, it's full of many an invention the kids would love. Especially sequined dresses! Of which the sequins keep falling off. No big deal - Jerry Lee has created an invention that picks them up, which helps sequins butler Fred pick them up and stick them back on. No need for imperfections in THIS dreamhouse, no siree!
- Third, the kitchen, run by (overworked) kitchen butler Harlow. Interrupt him, and his stride is lost. The kids have just ordered some food: Bluey has asked for a Royce-level premium ice cream, complete with "Bluey Christine Heeler" written on it. Say, I find that's the third time in Bluey canon her middle name's mentioned - groovy!
- "Man. I should've followed my dad into banking..."
- And fourth, ALL THE TOILETS IN THE WORLD. I count fifty. All of which is run by tired toilet butler Jenkins. Worst yet, the kids always forget to flush!
Monty shows Barnsley his position: spa bath butler: pretty easy, innit? Not if the dreamhouse is moving! Bluey wants to go to Chloe's dreamhouse! As the dreamhouse takes off, Barnsley is locked out, and Monty walks away with a nonchalant step in his wake!
