Tagalong Tuesday - What I made #2

I created a tuck pocket
and 4 tags
which will make the perfect flip
when attached to a journal page.
My only tools were
a hole punch, scissors
and Distress Oxide ink in Vintage Photo.

I created the kits first, without knowing how I would use one,
and really wanted to challenge myself to use only the pieces from the kit.

You are welcome to copy my design,
but I would encourage you to get creative and make something totally you.

If you purchase a kit and wish to share what you create,
(I for one would love to see your artwork)
you can post on Instagram with the hashtag
#tagalongtuesday_joy
Remember to tag me too,
@kimberlyjoylaws

You can post and tag anytime,
it does not have to be a Tuesday.

There are a limited number of the April and March kits
available for purchase at
Each kit is only $5.50
including postage.

Have a lovely Tuesday, dear friends!
hugs,
Kim

April's Mini Creative Journal Kit

There are a limited number of the April kits
available for purchase at
Each kit is only $5.50,
which includes postage.

The kits are all pretty much the same as what is pictured above.
Images, accent papers, and stickers may vary slightly.
You can create using the kit alone,
add other supplies from your stash,
or add the bits ala piecemeal to your journal or other projects.

A new kit will go live during the first week of each month.

The following Tuesday,
I will share what I create with the kit,
here on the blog and on Instagram.

If you purchase a kit and wish to share what you create,
(I for one would love to see your artwork)

Friday Take Five: #2

The five:
(1) tickets
(2) clippings word stickers
(3) collage tiles
(4) florals
(5) mixed box of ephemera

These are all from Tim Holtz for Idea-ology.
The goal was to use up
the ten last tickets in the ticket book
to create collaged ephemera pieces.

Each piece began with a ticket
layered in collage tiles.

Photo images were fussy cut
and added on top.
From that point,
more layers of florals,
ephemera,
and clippings
were used to create a story
for each ticket.

This was a fun and fast project.

I now have a sweet stack
of these tickets for future projects.

Wishing you a lovely weekend,
Happy Easter!

hugs,
Kim

Remains Of The Day: No. 1

On yesterday's post,
I shared an assortment of mixed bits
that were scattered across my work table.

They served as inspiration
for 3 greeting cards
and a smattering of journal tucks.

The fussy cut butterfly
and sentiment
along with a die cut square
serve as the focal point of this first card.

This second card
utilizes
a strip of paper lace,
a bird image,
and an ornate golden vellum triangle
from my scattering of leftovers.

Another strip of paper lace
and a stamped, embossed, and die-cut
sweet little fox
are employed in the creation of this third card.

The papers used are all leftovers
from previous projects as well.

A good number of the remaining
paper, wood, plastic and metal bits
are found in this group of
tags and tucks
and are ready for a future journal project.

As someone
who finds it difficult to throw away
even the smallest pretty bit of flotsam,
it is very satisfying
to use these pieces to inspire creative play.

I hope I have inspired you
to enjoy a little playtime for yourself.

hugs,
Kim
