さて、Jason Beckerをご存知だろうか。10代でCacophonyというバンドでデビューを果たしたギタリストだ。
ツインリードギターが売りのバンドで、もうひとりのギタリストは、先日Megadethの武道館公演にゲスト参加したMarty Friedmanだ。
JasonはソロアルバムとCacophonyの2ndアルバムを出したあと、Van Halenから抜けたDavid Lee Rothのバンドに参加。
しかし、スーパースターのバンドでこれからというときに、ALS(筋萎縮性側索硬化症)を発症してしまう。
バンドのアルバムと2ndソロアルバムを完成させたものの、目を動かす以外の体の自由がなくなった。
それでも作曲活動を続け、2018年にはアルバム「Triumphant Hearts」をリリース。Martyをはじめ錚々たるプレイヤーが参加している。
