MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software (CPS)
• MOTOTRBO Customer Programming Software (CPS) is a tool used
to program MOTOTRBO radios and repeater.
• CPS allows each radio to be uniquely programmed according to an
organization’s operational requirements.
• A ‘codeplug’ is a solid state of information stored within the radio or
repeater, which can be read using CPS and manipulated accordingly.
• By default, each MOTOTRBO CPS installation is preloaded with
sample codeplugs for the various MOTOTRBO radios and repeater.

Introduction
• MOTOTRBO CPS allows each radio to be uniquely programmed
according to an organization’s specific functional requirements.
• MOTOTRBO CPS comes with default codeplug for its radios and
repeater. Also, a radio’s codeplug can be read using the ‘Read’ button
in the CPS.
• There are two different types of codeplug, which are the Single Unit
Codeplug (.ctb) and the Link Establishment System Codeplug (.mtb).
• The following slides will demonstrate the configurations for both
codeplug.
