2. Detailed Description of the Learning Activity


Through this activity, the following learning outcome is expected to be
achieved:
This activity will teach students how to describe characters properly. They'll
use many different words to express what a character looks like, acts like,
and dresses like. They'll also get better at writing about daily routines, using
words that show order and the correct verb tense. Lastly, they'll learn how
to compare two things, such as superheroes, by using words that show
what's alike and what's different.

This activity consists of 5 steps:

The following materials and resources are required for the development of
this activity:
● E-Book - Online content
● Participation in the STT
To develop this activity, follow these steps:

Individual Activity:
Step 1: Participation in STT sessions
Each student is required to participate in at least two (2) STT sessions
(please refer to the schedule in the activity forum).
STT Topics
STT 1: Descriptions: physical appearance and personality - Superhero
vocabulary
STT 2: Fashion around the world
STT 3: Daily routines - Superhero vocabulary
STT 4: Superheroes: Who's the Most Amazing? (Comparatives and
superlatives)
STT 5: Writing a comparative text - Writing tips
STT 6: Strengths and weaknesses (modal verbs)

Step 2: Create your superhero

In this part you must answer the questions and write sentences, share this
information in the forum or suggested drive. In the annex 1 - Task 2 -
Compose & Conquer Submission Template is the table to complete this part.

Be as creative and detailed as possible!

You will find examples of this part in the STT.

Collaborative activity:
Step 3: Choosing Superheroes
Let’s collect together information about our superheroes

From the superheroes you shared in step 2, in your group, make the
decision and choose two superheroes created by group members in Step
2. Compare their most interesting and diverse characteristics so you have
more to write about. In Annex 1 - Task 2 Compose & Conquer_Submission
Template is the information of this part.

Be as detailed as possible.
* Note: if a student does not participate in the activity, the rest of the
group has to take up his part.

Step 4: Creating the Comparison

This is the most important mission! Using all the information gathered, as
a group in step 3, you will write coherent comparative sentences. In
Annex 1 - Task 2 Compose & Conquer_Submission Template is the
information of this part.

● Use comparative adjectives, such as 'stronger than', 'slower than',


'as smart as', to highlight the similarities and differences between
the two superheroes.
● Your text must have at least 10 comparative sentences.
● Each student will do comparative sentences, according to the topic
developed in step 3.

Step 5: Reflection and personal growth


Mark your performance on this task with an X between 0 and 2. 0 is the
lowest score and 2 is the highest. The maximum total score is 10 points.

3. Guidelines for Developing and Submitting Learning Evidence

Learning evidence refers to the actions, products, or observable processes


that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and competencies
acquired by students. These elements allow the teacher to assess and
evaluate student performance accurately and effectively.

For developing and submitting evidence, please consider the following


guidelines:

● Individual Evidence

No individual evidence is required for this activity.

● Collaborative Evidence

A student is going to upload a .doc or .PDF document containing all


the required components as outlined in this guide in the
corresponding space.

● Active Participation

All group members must actively contribute to the development of


the activity.

● Submission Responsibility

Each group must assign one member to be responsible for


submitting the final product in the designated platform or
environment indicated by the teacher.

● Final Review

Before submission, the group must ensure that the final product
meets all the requirements and criteria specified in this activity
guide.

● Recognition of Contributors

Only students who actively participated and contributed within the


allocated time should be listed as authors of the final product.
Additional Considerations

● All written work, whether individual or group-based, must adhere to


standard spelling, grammar, and formatting conventions.

● The final product must follow the APA referencing style. Make sure
to properly cite any sources used.

● To maintain academic integrity, avoid any form of plagiarism. You


are encouraged to review your work using the Turnitin tool
available on the virtual campus before submission.

4. Academic Situations
Consider that in Agreement 029 of December 13, 2013, Article 99, the
following actions are considered as offenses against academic order, among
others: item e) "Plagiarism, that is, presenting as one's own the entirety or
part of a work, paper, document, or invention created by another person.
It also includes the use of false citations or references or proposing citations
where there is no match between the citation and the reference," and item
f) "Reproducing or copying, for profit, educational materials or results of
research products that have intellectual property rights reserved for the
University."
The academic sanctions that the student will face are as follows:
a) In cases of proven academic fraud in the respective academic work or
evaluation, the grade imposed will be zero points without prejudice to the
corresponding disciplinary sanction.
b) In cases related to proven plagiarism in academic work of any nature,
the grade imposed will be zero points, without prejudice to the
corresponding disciplinary sanction.
