Given varied learning activities, the Grade IV pupils with at least 75%
accuracy

a. sequence a series of events from stories read;
b. show cooperation during group activity; and
c. create a timeline showing sequences of events.

The teacher will have a short recap of the previous lesson, and
ask few students to recall what was being discussed the previous day.

C. Motivation

The teacher will show different pictures showing the right steps
in washing hands, and let the students arrange the right order. The
first student who can give the right sequence will win.

story. The words first,next,then,and lastly are called Signal
Words, which introduce the steps in a process or a sequence
of events.
A Timeline is a visual technique in showing the sequence of
events in a story. It helps organize dates, numbers and
events occurred in the story.

Directions: Read the incomplete sentence. Write First,Next,

and Finally to show the correct order.

Read the story “ Tower to the Moon,” on page 29-30 of learner’s material
book. After reading, arrange the events as it happen in the story. Numbers them
from 1-6.
The king sent for the best carpenter in the kingdom.
The king climbed higher and higher until he came to the top of the
tower.
The king commanded that every box in the kingdom be brought to the
carpenter.
The carpenter and his helpers drew lines on big sheets of
paper. They hammered and measured.
The carpenter and his helpers walked to the tower and pulled out
the bottom box.
V. Assignments
Create your own timeline by listing all the important and memorable
events in your life.
