MUSC 3208: Original Composition
“Prelude for guitar”
Prelude for guitar based on the technique of Twelve-tone
Serialism. It is a traditional sonata form. This is a good opportunity
to experience and find some new elements in timbre and color by
using the tone row and operation.I apply the dynamic, time
signature, poly rhythmic and modulation that I learned from
“Advance Rhythm Study”.
• Tone Row: G# A G F B E D Eb Bb C# C F#.
• Operation: Prime,Inversion,Retrograde,Retro-Inversion.
• Sonata Form: Exposition, Development and Recap.

simple eight notes and quarter notes. Articulating the notes with
an accent followed by triplet forms.
